An American-Palestinian adolescent who spent 270 days in Israel's custody absent formal charges has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 during his detention this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.

Now sixteen years old, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.

According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, while battling health issues developed during imprisonment.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"At this moment, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

US officials announced ongoing to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," it added.

A group of American legislators had signed a letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt to throwing stones after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, learning information solely what had happened to him in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained without charge in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.

The facility also contains mature inmates, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and murder.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced the family would also continue fighting for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.

No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.
