The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years following their departure for construction to commence.

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
